Foster does it again with her Undercover series, Getting Rowdy. Getting Rowdy follows the last of the series where we were left Reece’s happy ending. Rowdy had bought a bar and kept the waitress, Avery. Rowdy has been very interested in Avery, but the problem is she isn’t letting him get what he wants although she does feel the same way. There’s more to Avery and her past which Rowdy will figure out as the story continues. I loved the chemistry between the two. Rowdy is very alpha male and has his own past with his sister, Pepper. We find out more about him and his horrible childhood. Rowdy has to protect Avery from her past, but sparks will fly and the heat will burn. Foster never disappoints when she writes a series, she has in depth characters, great back stories, and hot romance scenes. Those who love contemporary romance will love this book and the entire series.
An alpha hero’s attraction to the one woman he can’t have could draw him into a killer’s snare.
Charismatic bar owner Rowdy Yates isn’t the kind of man women say no to. So when he approaches waitress Avery Mullins, he fully expects to get her number. However, the elusive beauty has her reasons for keeping her distance— including a past that might come back to haunt them both.
Avery spends her nights working for tips…and trying to forget the secret Rowdy is determined to unearth. But when history threatens to repeat itself, Avery grows to rely on Rowdy’s protective presence. As the sparks between them ignite, she will be forced to choose between the security she’s finally found…and the passion she’s always wanted.
