Small town. Big secrets. Welcome to Sweet Ridge.

The Cooper brothers receive the shock of their lives when their deceased father, owner of the lucrative Guac Ole company, wills away their inheritances to three random women, leaving them each only a mysterious object and a riddle to solve. You don’t want to miss a sexy minute of their search for answers – and love.

  • Sweet Texas Kiss: Gavin Cooper can’t wrap his mind around why country music superstar Macy Young would end up inheriting his family home. Seeing his childhood memories handed over to his high school rival – the first woman to break his heart – stings, especially when Gavin is left only a pair of old reading glasses. Luckily, Macy can’t sell the house for one year – plenty of time for him to find a way to get it back. Can a country star and a country veterinarian find a way to bury their animosity and rediscover their first love in the process?
  • Sweet Texas Fire: Gage Cooper has always wanted the family cabin. Instead, his business nemesis, environmental analyst Charlotte Wilkinson, inherits this valuable property with its oil-rich land and its secrets, and Gage pockets a useless key. He’ll do anything to reverse this fortune, including eloping to Vegas for a sham marriage. But as they discover common ground and a surprising chemistry together, suddenly Gage must decide what’s worth more: the land he’s always coveted or a future with Charlotte.
  • Sweet Texas Charm: Becca Nash has no idea why kind, old Jack Cooper left her half of his company since she never had more than a few polite conversations with the guy. Neither does Grayson Cooper, Guac Olé’s CEO, who is seething over the strawberry-shaped charm his dad willed him. He goes undercover boss to find out how he can steal back those shares, but surprisingly loses his heart to Becca instead. What he does discover is a secret that could blow apart not only Becca’s world but his whole family. Now Grayson must determine whether it’s better to follow his head or his heart.

Interview:

Where are you from? Tell us a little about yourself!

I’m from Perth, Western Australia, but I live in Houston, Texas. I write sexy contemporary romances that seduce you one kiss at a time. When I’m not putting my characters in uncomfortable situations, I’m usually spending time with my family or reading.

Tell us about your book? How did it get started?

Sweet Texas Fire is an enemies-to-lovers/marriage of convenience story. Gage and Charlotte clash from the moment they meet, but there’s also an attraction that makes their interactions a little fiery on occasions. It’s the second book in that Sweet Texas Secrets series I wrote with Monica Tillery and Robyn Neeley.

How do you create your characters?

Gage is the youngest of the Cooper brothers. The Cooper brothers were the brain child of Robyn Neeley, and as we all worked together on the concept of the series the characters came to life. Charlotte Wilkinson is an ex-pat Aussie living in Houston, and seeing as I’m an ex-pat, some of my experiences have been woven into this story. I have a husband who works in oil and gas and oil is Gage’s life—until he meets Charlotte.

What inspires and what got your started in writing?

Sometimes I get inspired by hearing a news report on the TV. Or talking to friends and little ideas start to form. I started writing when I was part of an online romance community where we would create our own stories. I joined Romance Writers of Australia and really began to learn the craft of creating stories.

Where do you write? Is there something you need in order to write (music, drinks?)

I write in the living room of my house. I have a section where my desk is set up, so I’m with the family while I write. Over the last couple of years I’ve started listening to music when I write. I have favorite songs I listen to, so I don’t have a separate playlist for every story—it’s the same one.

How do you get your ideas for writing?

As I mentioned before, sometimes it’s through a conversation with friends. Other times a scene pops into my head and I wonder about it and then a story idea forms. I usually write it down before I forget.

What do you like to read?

I read romance. I love going on the emotional ride with the characters. I have to have a happy ever after ending. Reading is my relaxation.

What would your advice to be for authors or aspiring in regards to writing?

Have faith in your writing and take the leap and enter a contest if you’re just starting out to get feedback. Contests are invaluable with the nuggets of information. Contests are also a good measure of where you’re at in your writing journey. If you’re a bit further along, start to submit to publishers – another great way to get feedback.

Anything else you’d like to share?

The romance genre is changing constantly. Never stop learning and improving your craft.
