Top 5 Reasons Every Book Addict Should Buy a Kindle

For all you readers out there, if you haven’t considered buying a Kindle or a similar reading device, it may be time to seriously think twice. Even though some of us just don’t want to stray from reading the old-fashioned way, there are plenty of perks that make a Kindle worth the investment and simply fun to use. In fact, even if you insure a Kindle, it can still reap tons of savings in the long run. Read on for some of the top reasons to consider ordering a Kindle:

1. Read anything instantly. If you’re an avid reader, you know how long the wait can feel when you have to physically order a book. You have to go through the trouble of making the order and then wait until the book actually arrives. Or, you can head to a local bookstore to see if they have the copy you’re searching for in stock. Neither of these situations pose major problems, but haven’t you ever seen an ad or book review and thought, “I have to remember to order that book,” only to completely forget until weeks later? With a Kindle or a similar device, you can pull up books on demand. This is a great way to get started reading sooner.

2. Save money on books. Even though the initial investment in a Kindle will cost a bit, if you read all the time, the Kindle will pay for itself in no time with the amount of money you can save on book buying. Most popular titles only cost around two dollars, so you can start saving immediately if you are a regular reader.

3. Easier to transport. I know that I definitely love the feeling of a paper book in my hands, and there are some instances where I just prefer reading the old-fashioned way. But, when I travel or need to carry around my books on a daily basis, it can get a little bulky. A Kindle is thin and fairly small. It’s easy to slide into a briefcase or handbag. It’s also an easy way to carry around as many titles as you want, all at the same time.

4. Control text size. Another thing that’s great about a Kindle is the fact that you can instantly control the size of the text you’re reading.  It’s nice to be able to read before bed or in dark places and enlarge the text to make it easier to see. It’s also great to avoid grappling with the tiny text used in older copies of many popular novels.

5. Sample free chapters. Before you decide to purchase a book, you can read a free chapter on your Kindle. This is a really good way to know if a book is something you want to dive into right away, save for another time, or skip altogether.
