Workshop Description:

The workshop will look at the process and utility of book trailers in today’s ever-expanding digital market. Sheila will discuss the process of creating a trailer, starting with a discussion of the COS process and then a DIY process for those who wish to make a video themselves. The workshop details elements to consider when creating or thinking about creating a book video either on your own or when you hire someone. Sheila will also cover the importance of book video to reader and media outreach, including book video distribution and other ways to utilize your video. A handout will be provided prior to the workshop to those who register.

Bio: Circle of Seven Productions CEO, Sheila Clover English is an international speaker on topics of book promotion, marketing, and the future of publishing. She is co-author of a marketing book with Barbara Vey of Publishers Weekly and has been interviewed by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Newsweek, and has appeared on television talking about the future of marketing books.

Known as the top producer of book trailers, a term she trademarked in 2002, she has produced over 1000 trailers and has won more awards for book trailer production than anyone in the world. She helped to develop COS Productions book video distribution database which is used to distribute book videos for publishers from National Geographic to Random House, Zondervan and others.
