Interview:

Where are you from? Tell us a little about yourself!

I currently live in the beautiful city of Stafford, located in Ontario, Canada. I have been with my wife Jenn since high school; we have been together 24 years and have two boys Dexter and Beau. I have a couple of passion, besides making memories with my fam jam, I love Brazilian jujitsu and my life’s work teaching mindfulness.

Tell us about your book? How did it get started?

Andy Gets Angry is really about how all humans’ experiences a wide range of emotions, and how we can learn how to work with our emotions in a healthy way. The book idea was started from my work with children and youth and noticing how many viewed anger as a “bad” emotions. I wanted it created a short story exploring some simple techniques to address those more difficult emotions

How do you get your ideas for writing?

I usually toss out a couple of ideas to my wife and children and see their thoughts on it. Then I’ll usually ask some close friends for their feedback as well

What do you like to read?

All things true crime, mindfulness and thrillers

What would your advice to be for authors or aspiring in regards to writing?

Write from your heart, see what connects with you and your passion and build out. Don’t get caught in the negative Nelly of the thought train. Create, create and create
