The Billionaire Cowboys trilogy by best-selling author Kristina Knight kicks off with a seductive story of long-simmering feelings and hot Vegas nights.
When Vegas Nightly names local property developer Gage Reeves as its sexiest bachelor, he’s barraged with a stream of showgirls, local socialites, and entertainers who all expect something from him. But all Gage wants is to make a success of his new luxury shopping development.
Enter Callie Holliday. Callie dreams of having the hottest day spa in Vegas, but she’s saddled with a bad location and an account balance full of zeroes. When she walks into a last-chance meeting with an angel investor and finds herself face to face with Gage, the childhood friend on whom she had a huge crush, she’s not sure his reputation is the right match for her business. But then he offers her a storefront in his new high-end retail complex, and she has to admit it’s a thoroughly tempting proposition. But feelings she thought were long buried threaten to turn their deal from strictly professional to decidedly personal.
It’s risky business gambling on love . . .
Sensuality Level: Sensual
Callie unlocked the front door but didn’t move to go inside. Instead, she stood beside him as if waiting. Their bodies didn’t touch, but he could feel a slight hum that seemed to connect him to her.
“Good night, Gage.”
“Good night, Cal.”
This time she moved, toward him. Gage stepped forward, too, and leaned in to press his lips to hers. She was soft, her full lips steady beneath his, and she tasted like the Corona and lime she’d been drinking. Gage slipped his hands to her neck to play his thumbs against the sensitive skin beneath her jaw, and Callie stepped forward again, this time bringing her body in full contact with his. His dick jumped in his jeans.
Her hands pressed against his chest and then pushed up around his neck. Callie slanted her head and opened her mouth to him. Gage pushed her against the doorframe, insinuating his leg between hers as he took the kiss deeper.
She drew him in, deep into the depths of her, and Gage didn’t care if they kissed like this for the rest of the night. He wanted to be near her. Wanted to feel her against him. Wanted to go on tasting her until he was positive he’d never forget any of it.
Finally, he broke the kiss, panting, his lips millimeters from hers.
Callie swallowed, and he watched the muscles in her throat slide down and then up slowly. She blew out a breath.
“Good night, Gage?” It was a question, and he didn’t want to answer it.
“Good night, Cal,” he said. “I’ll call you tomorrow.”
Before he could talk himself into her condo, Gage returned to the truck. He sat in the cab for a long moment, watching until Callie went inside and closed the door. Then he looked at his jeans and said, “Cold shower, buddy, ice-cold shower.”
Once upon a time, Kristina Knight spent her days running from car crash to fire to meetings with local police–no, she wasn’t a troublemaker, she was a journalist. Her career took her all over the United States, writing about everything from a serial killer’s capture to the National Finals Rodeo. Along the way, she found her very own Knight in Shining Cowboy Boots and an abiding love for romance novels. And just like the characters from her favorite books, she’s living her own happily ever after.
Kristina writes sassy contemporary romance novels; her books have appeared on Kindle Best Seller Lists. She loves hearing from readers, so drop her a line!

Where are you from? Tell us a little about yourself! – Hi, everyone! I’m Kristina Knight and I write sassy, contemporary romances. I’m originally from a small town in Missouri, but my family (RadioMan, bebe and 2 incorrigible dogs) now live on Lake Erie in a not-so-small town.
Tell us about your book? How did it get started? – I started What the Bachelor Gets because I love Vegas, and I can never resist a trip there! I wanted to know what it would be like to live in Vegas, to have grown up there…and since we aren’t moving there, I decided I’d do it through fiction. So I pulled all my favorite things about Nevada and started making notes and chatted with some friends who live there…and realized I had enough story fodder for not one but three books…and the Billionaire Cowboys trilogy was born!
How do you create your characters? – I usually see a scene of some sort in my head, and the characters grow from there. I wonder why would this person be in this situation…and it all kind of snowballs!
What inspires and what got your started in writing? – My deadlines inspire me – and there are a lot of them this year! lol I actually got started as a journalist; I loved being a reporter, but I felt like there were more stories to tell and so I started writing them down. Pretty soon I realized I was more invested in my fiction than my non-fiction writing, so I focused on that…and here we are!
Where do you write? Is there something you need in order to write (music, drinks?) – I write either in my office (during editing rounds) or on my couch (during the drafting stage). At least once each week I try to get out of my writing cave and hit the local Starbucks or our library or a sweet little cafe downtown, and write there. The changes of scenery are nice, and I’m always amazed at how that change keeps the words flowing. If I’m out of the house, the hustle and bustle of wherever I am is a kind of music, but if I’m at my house, some light jazz or classical music will be playing.
How do you get your ideas for writing? – My ideas come from everywhere – a snippet of an overheard conversation (I’m an admitted and unrepentant eavesdropper), a story in the newspaper, something I see when I’m out running errands. Story ideas are everywhere, you just have to keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for them.
What do you like to read? – I read everything from non-fiction and true crime to thrillers and romances. I just finished a fab book about the NFL concussion scandal (Will Smith starred in the movie), and Nora Roberts is always a favorite when I want to sink into a fictional world.
What would your advice to be for authors or aspiring in regards to writing? – Don’t stop and don’t give up! I always thought writers had to live in New York or Paris, but what I’ve learned is writers are everywhere and can live anywhere. So if your dream is to be a writer, start writing and don’t every stop.
