DEA agent Eve Taylor has had her fill of alpha males. When Resolutions’ operative and former lover, Dillon “Mac” McKenna, threatened her hard-earned independence, she ran. On a mission to gather evidence against a Colombian drug-lord, Eve discovers the drug-lord is helping terrorists plan an attack on American soil. Before she can escape with the vital information, she’s captured and comes face to face with her mortality…
As a teen, Mac watched his family fall apart after his mother died doing dangerous U.N. work. The possibility of losing Eve to a mission ignited an overwhelming need to protect her. When he forced her to choose him or her job, she walked away. Two years later, it seems all his nightmares have come true and he’s tasked with rescuing her from a Colombian prison. Mac has never stopped loving Eve, but does he dare risk his heart when he’s so terrified of losing…
On the run, Mac and Eve must learn to trust each other again in order to stay alive.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.
Interview:
Where are you from? Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born and raised in St. Louis. I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart since the Stone Age. So you see, I have plenty of experience and really do know something about romance! We now live in Marietta, Georgia.
Tell us about your book? How did it get started?
Resolutions is a romantic suspense filled with lots of action, romance, and a bit of steamy sex thrown in for good measure. Eve Taylor is a DEA agent on a mission to take down a drug lord, but soon finds out her target is into more than the drug trade. When she’s captured by him her ex-lover, Mac, is sent to extract Eve from her prison. Alpha male, Mac, and a very strong-willed Eve, team up to put a stop to the drug lord’s evil plan. They must set aside their past differences and learn to trust each other again…if they want to stay alive.
I wrote the first three chapters of Resolutions so I’d have a book to enter in the Kiss of Death’s annual Daphne du Maurier contest for unpublished writers. When I found out I was a finalist, I sat down and finished the manuscript. I didn’t win, but taking third place definitely made me think I might not suck at writing. I threw myself into the whole process afterwards.
How do you create your characters?
I decide what personality traits I’d like my characters to have and then make up a background for them that helps shape their personas. I wanted my heroine in Resolutions to be a strong and kick ass DEA agent. At the same time, I wanted her to have a soft side. So I decided Eve’s history would include growing up in a small, caring town and she was raised by her brothers who are nick-named, The Alpha four. For their physical traits, I usually think of actors I like and visualize how my characters will look.
What inspires and what got you started in writing?
I’m an insomniac and really needed something to do after everyone else in the house had gone to bed. My family knew how much I enjoyed reading and talked me into writing a book myself. With the first stroke on my computer’s keyboard, I fell in love with writing. My family’s encouragement and support continues to inspire me.
Where do you write? Is there something you need in order to write (music, drinks?)
I have a great office space with a beautiful view of a wooded area and small pond. I like to have my music playing, and I never, ever start without a mug of coffee or a tall glass of iced tea.
How do you get your ideas for writing?
The ideas just pop up in my head. Anything can trigger one. Movies, songs, or a dream I’ve had. Sometimes watching people and life go by will inspire a great plot.
What do you like to read?
I love romantic suspense and historical romance.
What would your advice to be for authors or aspiring in regards to writing?
Just do it. Sit down and write. I always wonder how many more completed books I’d have if I’d started writing the first time my family suggested it. And never give up. No matter how many knock downs you take, get back up.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I believe people should figure out what jobs, hobbies, or activities they love and jump in feet first. Don’t put off doi
