Blog Tour: Sins of the Fallen by Karina Espinosa

Book Blurb:

When seventeen-year-old Maximillion Taylor and his best friend, Jones go to a house party, he doesn’t expect to get kidnapped—much less by a succubus—and she’s not the only one on the hunt. Thrown into a world of angels and demons, where nothing and no one is what they seem, Max ventures to find his true identity and learn to fight the demons who pursue him. When his origin is revealed, it’s a race against the clock for a battle that will determine whether he can protect the ones he loves or succumb to his true nature. Through lies, betrayal, love and pain, Max must prepare to face the demons before it is too late…

Getting closer to the stairwell, I got a look at them and my voice got caught in my throat. This was some cloak and dagger crap.

Jones got up from his seat. I couldn’t see his face well but his tone was so serious I almost didn’t believe it.

“You know she doesn’t like coming here. It’s too risky, and trust me Xavier; we won’t be accountable for your fall. Things have dragged on for too long and we are pushing our luck. Let us not get too comfortable.”

“Your words are wise, but mine are wiser. Always remember Loran, live before you teach, because you cannot teach what you have not lived. With that said, I think we should wrap this up for another time. I want to meet with the both of you.”

As they were preparing to go their separate ways, I started backing away to my room when the floor creaked underneath my feet and they froze in place. Damn these wooden floors.

They looked at each other immediately and in unison, looked up to the stairs where I was watching them.

Where are you from? Tell us a little about yourself!

I’m originally from New York City but now am a proud Floridian where its 80 degrees year round lol. I’m a certified book junkie that can’t go anywhere without my Kindle. And when I’m not reading, I’m watching the million TV shows that I have on my DVR while consuming large amounts of twizzlers.

I’m twenty four years old and currently in my third year of University.

Tell us about your book? How did it get started?

Sins of the Fallen is about a seventeen year old named Max who gets kidnapped one night by a succubus and gets rescued by his guardian angel. He learns that the people closest to him are not who they say they are and he’s not as normal as he thought either. Now he’s on the run to find out what he is and who’s after him before he loses the ones he loves.

There’s a mix of action, paranormal, tons of drama and just the right amount of romance.

What inspires and what got you started in writing?

What got me started writing was when my dad thought me to pen my wild imagination on paper. I would tell these crazy stories to my babysitter and one time I had told her a story about my father setting the house on fire and going to jail (lol I know, crazy) So instead of telling these things aloud, my dad taught me how to make it into a story and put it on paper.

What inspires me is everyday life occurrences. My friends tell me something funny that happened to them and I write it down. You’d be surprise at how many stories you can conjure up with the little things that happen every day.

Where do you write? Is there something you need in order to write (music, drinks?)

I write a lot during lectures in class (shh don’t tell! lol). So while I’m pretending to take notes on my laptop, I’m actually writing the next chapter in my book.

What do you like to read?

I love to read YA! Lol, there’s just something special about young adult books.

What would your advice to be for authors or aspiring in regards to writing?

My advice to aspiring authors would be to NEVER stop writing (and reading), you can only improve. And don’t be afraid of what people might think.

I spent a very long time in fear of sharing my work with others and it’s so silly. Not everyone will like your work but you’ll always have people who do.
