Review: A Devil’s Touch by Victoria Vane

Just when you thought you’ve heard the last of the Devil.. he’s back in Vane’s fourth installment, A Devil’s Touch. This short story is dealing with the devil himself and his new wife and soon to be mother of his children, Diana. DeVere is summoned away to London on  short notice. Diana while alone finds the note that was left behind for him. When she sees the signed note as Salime she assumes the worse or is it? Diana has been feeling insecure about their marriage and when she thinks her husband’s bored with her she goes to think the worse. Vane always entertains and delights with each story about her characters. I was happy that she wrote this one and when I get the chance to read her work, well I never say no. There is never a shortage of funny lines, tender and erotic love and most of all a great story. Without giving too much away, fans of the series will rejoice in seeing these two lovers together. Those who haven’t read it, what are you waiting for? Vane has all the great makings of a amazing historical romance author, love, history, intrigue, and brilliant dialogue.

In her last month of pregnancy, Diana, Viscountess DeVere, has barely settled into her new life and role as “the devil” DeVere’s wife, when her increasingly restlesss husband receives an urgent summons to London. When Diana inadvertently discovers a message he received from a known courtesan with whom he was formerly linked, she fears her marriage is over before it has begun.
