So, in case you don’t know me, I have a penchant for a few things. (1) Shapeshifter romance (b) The North of England and (3) medieval romance. I’ve rarely seen all three done together, and never well. Well, color me surprised when I hear that Lisa Hendrix has written a book with all three, and more! And written them better together than anyone I’ve read before.
My favorite part of this book was Gunnar, the hero. He’s got this incorrigible, deep-hearted, solid way about him. He made me want to curl up in front of a big, roaring fire, and let him stand over me, protectively. Maybe he could draw his sword, or shapeshift and be all dangerous and sexy. Well, he has got sexy down pat. The man is just a work of art.
Seriously, I’m not going to say anything else about the book. It’s worth reading for Gunnar alone. If you don’t believe me, ask Maisey Yates. So when this book releases on January 4th, you buy it and read it, then come on Twitter and chat with @maiseyyates and @camrynrhys and @LisaHendrix (the author) about how much we adore Gunnar the Red. I really think you’ll feel the same way.
BOOK BLURB: Part of a cursed Viking crew, Gunnar the Red must toil through eternity as a half-man, half-beast. Only the magic of true love can release him. Though she is betrothed to another, could Lady Eleanor de Neville be his salvation?
