Reviews: A WILD NIGHT’S BRIDE and THE VIRGIN HUNTRESS by Victoria Vane

If you love erotic romance then add a dash of historical you get Vane’s stories. I was contacted by the author herself and am glad to report that it was such a great match! I really enjoyed her work. A Wild Night’s Bride follows the story of a man who has a lost the love of his life and now celibate. A friend and viscount tries to help him in the only way he knows how by exposing him to the flesh, but Ned, my favorite character wants love, not just lust. I loved Ned’s ideals because he had just his wife and didn’t think lust would do the trick to make him better. His friend had other plans for him and is the crazy one in this and its what his character as viscount great to read. When Ned meets Phoebe, a struggling actress an attraction begins. Being a widower Ned begins his journey as does Phoebe. The viscount was a very raunchy character, but also he made the story interesting. Vane knows how to write her erotic and romantic scenes as it was quite the page turner. Those who love fun, lovable characters, and want to step back in time must read Vane’s A Wild Night’s Bride.

 BLURB:

What happens when a struggling actress and a grieving widower come together in a night of unbridled debauchery orchestrated by a machinating rake?

Phoebe Scott, alias Kitty Willis is a lonely lady down on her luck. Sir Edward Chambers is steadfast, respectable and avowed to a life … of celibacy. Devil in disguise, Viscount Ludovic DeVere is simply bored and hell-bent to return his best friend, Ned, to the land of the living. But with the devil in charge — there will surely be hell to pay.

 Mini-excerpt:

DeVere, on the other hand, evinced no such qualms. He had already loosened his cravat and was stripping off his coat.

“As I said earlier, there is no need,” Phoebe insisted. “A couple of buttons and a raised petticoat are all the business requires.”

“How delightfully unromantic you are, my dear!” He chuckled. “But while most men would be charmed to comply with your simple wishes, I have quite another game in mind. One that most definitely requires you to disrobe.”

“But what if I don’t want to?”

“Oh but you will,” he said with a smug smile.

She glared. “You are very sure of yourself!”

He studied his buffed fingernails. “I am sure of Ned. Thus, we must put on a convincing show.”

Her brows came together in a deep scowl. “What do you mean? What has Ned to do with this?”

“Everything. And at any moment, I expect him to burst through that door like a raging bull.”
